Nursing and Care

If you’re a candidate looking for temporary, fixed-term, contract or a permanent nursing job, Visible Healthcare will endeavour to place you into a role which best matches your skills and experience. We specialise in the provision of the nursing roles below:

If you are a Registered General Nurse looking for RGN jobs and nurse jobs, or are looking for a temporary or permanent nursing job, Visible Healthcare can help. We specialise in nurse practitioner jobs and Health provides RGN jobs and other nurse practitioner jobs in hospitals and the community. This includes health centres, general practices, residential homes, specialist units, schools and hospices, with some nurses caring for patients in their own homes.

Mental Health Nursing is one of the most challenging areas of nursing. A mental health nurse may be part of a team working with people who may have been excluded from services through drug or alcohol abuse.  You might be based in a community health care centre, day hospital and outpatients department or specialist unit. You will need to have a good understanding of the theories of mental health and illness.

As a nurse working in mental health, you would work as part of a team which includes general practitioners, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, arts therapists and healthcare assistants.

A Learning Disability Nurses job, also known as a RNLD, is to work with people who have a wide range of physical and mental health conditions. Learning Disability Nurses work in partnership with them and family carers, to provide specialist healthcare. A RNLD’s main aim is to support the well-being and social inclusion of people with a learning disability by improving or maintaining their physical and mental health; supporting the person to pursue a fulfilling life.

We supply Learning Disability Nurses into settings such as adult education, residential and community centres, as well as in patients’ homes, workplaces and schools. If you work in a residential setting, you may do shifts to provide 24-hour care.

Healthcare Assistants work in a hospital or in the community under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. Working alongside nurses, a Healthcare Assistant may also be known as nursing auxiliaries or auxiliary nurses. Healthcare Assistants also work alongside qualified midwives in maternity services.
The types of duties include:
• Washing and dressing
• Feeding
• Helping people to mobilise
• Toileting
• Bed making
• Generally assisting with patients’ overall comfort
• Monitoring patients’ conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.
Nursing healthcare assistants usually work a 37.5-hour week on a shift or rota system, probably including nights and weekends. Part-time and flexi-working is often available.
